About CostPulse
CostPulse watches AWS billing data every day and alerts in Slack, Microsoft Teams or email when a service's spend jumps above its recent baseline, so a cost spike is found within about a day instead of on the monthly bill.
Who builds it
CostPulse is built and run by Jerimiah Guillot, founder of COSTPULSE, LLC. That covers the detection pipeline, the alerts, this site, the AWS infrastructure they run on, and answering support email.
The blog posts on this site are published under Jerimiah Guillot's name.
The company
COSTPULSE, LLC is a Delaware limited liability company. It operates costpulse.io and sells CostPulse directly and through AWS Marketplace. It is a one-person company.
How it works, in public
The rules CostPulse uses to decide when to alert are published in full on How CostPulse decides, generated from the detection code. The read-only IAM role it asks for is documented line by line on IAM permissions. Product changes are listed on the changelog.
