Terms of Service
Effective October 26, 2026 (posted October 12, 2026). Until then, the version effective June 11, 2026 applies.
Agreement
By accessing or using CostPulse ("the Service"), operated by CostPulse LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we," "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you represent you have authority to bind that company. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The service
CostPulse monitors your AWS Cost and Usage Reports, computes spend baselines, and delivers anomaly alerts to Slack and Microsoft Teams channels you configure. Access to your AWS environment is strictly read-only via a cross-account IAM role you control and can revoke at any time.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We will not materially reduce core alerting functionality without offering a prorated refund for any prepaid period.
Accounts and access
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. Accounts are for the organization that subscribes — you may not resell or sublicense access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to access AWS accounts you do not own or have explicit authorization to manage.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
- Use automated means to scrape, stress-test, or overload our infrastructure.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
Subscription and billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. All fees are in USD and non-refundable except as stated below or required by law.
- Starter — $49/month: 1 AWS account, Slack or Teams alerts, 7-day baseline, weekly digest.
- Team — $99/month: Up to 5 AWS accounts, Slack and Teams alerts, per-service thresholds, priority support.
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access through the period you've paid for. We do not issue prorated refunds for mid-period cancellations except where required by law.
If a payment fails, we will retry for 7 days before suspending your account. Your data and configuration are retained for 30 days after suspension to allow for reactivation.
We may change pricing with 30 days advance notice by email. Price changes do not apply to your current billing period.
AWS cost audit engagements
Separate from the subscription service, CostPulse offers fixed-fee AWS cost audits. Audit engagements are governed by a Statement of Work ("SOW") provided at time of booking. The 3x-savings guarantee is defined and limited by the terms of that SOW. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a SOW, the SOW controls for the audit engagement.
Your data
You retain all rights to your AWS billing data. You grant CostPulse a limited license to access and process that data solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your data, and we will not use it for purposes other than operating and improving the Service for your account.
Upon account closure, we will delete your billing data within 30 days upon written request.
Intellectual property
The Service, including all software, algorithms, and content we produce, is owned by CostPulse LLC. Nothing in these Terms transfers intellectual property rights to you. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANOMALIES WILL BE DETECTED WITH ANY PARTICULAR ACCURACY OR TIMELINESS.
Cost anomaly alerts are estimates based on your billing data and our baseline algorithms. You are responsible for validating findings before making infrastructure changes.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COSTPULSE LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND CONTRACTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CostPulse LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email and post the new Terms at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
