Already have AWS spend commitment? Buy CostPulse through AWS Marketplace and it draws down your existing commit and lands on the AWS bill you already reconcile. No new vendor, no new invoice.
Questions
How is this different from AWS Cost Anomaly Detection?
Turn it on: it's free and it's good. CostPulse is built for the team channel. Each alert lands in Slack or Teams already explaining the change in the units you're billed for, at your own rates (for example, +2.2K instance-hours of m5.xlarge against the 7-day average). Baselines account for weekday patterns and month-start charges, Bedrock spend is broken down by model and tokens, and a weekly digest covers the rest. Plenty of teams run both.
Do I need access to the payer (management) account?
For the full setup, yes. AWS delivers billing exports only to the payer account, and the stack must run in us-east-1. If someone else holds that access, they can deploy the stack for you.
What can the role read?
Billing and cost data only. It cannot read your resources or change anything in your account. Every action is listed on the IAM permissions page.
How soon will I see something?
Recent spend is backfilled from Cost Explorer as soon as the stack connects, and the last 30 days are scanned then. Daily detection starts the same day. Full billing-export detail can take up to 24 hours to arrive the first time.
How does the 14-day trial work?
Connect your AWS account and Slack or Teams workspace. No credit card required. After 14 days, choose the plan that fits — or cancel with no charge.
Can I buy through AWS Marketplace?
Yes. CostPulse is listed on AWS Marketplace at the same $49 and $99 pricing, so the subscription draws down your existing AWS commit and appears on the AWS bill you already reconcile — no new vendor record, no separate invoice. Private offers are available for custom terms.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from your dashboard. Changes take effect immediately and are prorated.
What counts as an "AWS account"?
Each unique 12-digit AWS account ID counts as one account. AWS Organizations member accounts each count separately.
Is GovCloud supported?
Not today. If you need GovCloud, email [email protected]. Real demand decides what gets built next.
Do you offer annual billing?
Not yet — monthly only for now. Annual billing with a discount is coming. Contact us if annual billing is a requirement.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Invoice billing is available on Enterprise+ plans.
Do you monitor AI and LLM costs?
Yes — Amazon Bedrock spend is baselined per model family, not just as one service line. Alerts carry the model, invocation count, and input/output token context, estimate the spike in output tokens at your observed unit cost, and flag when your cost per token drifts from its 7-day average (usually a model-mix or tier change). SageMaker, OpenSearch, and other AI-adjacent services are monitored like any other service.
Is there a free tier?
No permanent free tier — but the 14-day trial gives you full access to evaluate CostPulse risk-free.
